A limited release: Artist Toshiaki Mori's "CoroCoro" Sake cup series. "CoroCoro" is a Japanese expression that describes something swaying back and forth. Just as the name suggests, this piece is designed to be placed on a table and sways gently when nudged (but don't worry, it's designed not to tip over).
This piece features the White Hidasuki technique, an evolution of the classic Hidasuki, which involves intentionally pasting straw onto the piece during firing to create reddish lines due to a chemical reaction. The natural contrast between the beautiful red and white hues produced by nature gives a modern impression.
